The Need Of The Hour

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily” says Zig Ziglar, famous American motivational speaker.

Often, the only thing we need to achieve our goals, is a little push and few words of motivation. However, this motivation comes at a price. The hunt for motivation should not begin from outside, but from within. One cannot depend on external factors for motivation. The need and desire to achieve, should come from within and self motivation is the only way to push oneself to the extreme.

Life is filled with goals. Self-motivation makes you achieve all these goals without any external influences. There exists three grave factors that make us lose motivation. They are- lack of confidence,  lack of focus and lack of direction. The simplest way of motivating oneself is by choosing the task one enjoys and loves doing. However, all things don’t turn out as planned and sometimes; we need to accomplish the tasks we don’t really like. At such times, self-motivation is the only force that could make you tackle issues and achieve targets head-on.

To motivate yourself, start your day with some empowering thoughts and questions. This will help you to stay positive and will help you stay focused on the task at hand. Make a pact with yourself and note down every small achievement you make. This will motivate you to work harder to accomplish bigger goals in life. Be curious like a child and try to learn as much as you can. The more you learn, the more you would feel confident.

Try new things and try adding some ‘fun’ factor in the work you do. Learn to accept failure, because every failure serves as a stepping stone towards success, it makes you stronger and helps you tackle all the problems at hand. Break your goals into smaller tasks for faster completion and refrain from activities that tend to divert you from achieving your goal. Create strong reasons that support your goal and if possible write them down beside each goal for a dose of motivation.

Thinking big will motivate you to achieve great things in life. Remember, it is all in your mind and if you have successfully altered your thoughts and have made them positive, then you have reached half your path towards achieving your goals.
