Belgaum | Ramdurg gets Karnataka’s second tallest Shiva statue

The second tallest statue of Lord Shiva in the state was unveiled on the outskirts of Ramdurg town on Tuesday, commemorating the Mahashivaratri festival. The 78-ft tall statue has come up at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. Sridhar Murthy and his family worked on the statue.
The statue is located in Dodamangadi Tree Park (Mullur Gudda), 2.3km from Ramdurg.

Ramdurg MLA Ashok Pattan, who unveiled the statue in the presence of local leaders and hundreds of devotees, is the main force behind the project. Pattan said, “I took up this project as per the will of my parents to make Ramdurg a tourist destination. Many friends and followers joined hands in the completion of this beautiful project and I thank all of them.”
The tallest Lord Shiva statue in the state is located in Murudeshwar.
